EXECUTION: average of five regrinds per one tool.

RESULT:55% DECREASE IN TOOL PURCHASING COSTS.

JADETOOL

TASK: to decrease PRODUCTION costs by introducing new end mill geometry.​ 

APPLICATION AND MATERIAL: manufacturing of chainsaw blades from stainless steel [milling operation].

CURRENT COST: $ 0.57 cost per minute [using the current end mill].

EXECUTION: three different end mill geometries along with coating applications and carbide grades were tested. Results were evaluated using Jade Tool economy statistical model [see below].

RESULT: DECREASED PRODUCTION COSTS PER MINUTE BY 60% FROM $ 0.57 PER MIN TO $ 0.34 PER MIN.
